OBTAINING AN INDIANA TEACHING LICENSE

(January 2012)

To apply for an Indiana Teaching License you must have:

1. Met all requirements for an undergraduate degree and successfully completed a teacher education program
2. Successfully completed Admission to Teacher Education test requirement and Praxis II (subject area test)
3. Successfully completed an Adult/Child CPR/AED course and have valid certification through one of the approved providers. 

You will be able to upload your certification onto the licensing application.

ON LINE APPLICATION PROCESS

• Access the online application
• Create a profile and submit.
• Verify the accuracy of the information requested before submitting the profile. You will be asked for name, address, Social Security number, telephone number and e-mail address. You can upload your CPR/AED certification to the application. You will receive notification at your email address when your license is ready to download. Please make sure that it is a valid e-mail and one that you monitor.
