Doctoral Programs
Curriculum Studies at Indiana University is a program area within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction (C & I). We offer two doctoral degrees: The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Requirements for the two programs are very similar, with most students choosing the Ph.D. Curriculum studies includes: early childhood, elementary, secondary, social studies, and multicultural education.
The School of Education maintains a rolling admission policy, processing applications until the final deadline (for fall admission) of June 1. However, to receive full consideration for university, School of Education and departmental fellowships, assistantships and fee scholarships, applications must be received by January 15. Applicants for fall admission should be aware that chances for financial support can diminish markedly if an application is received later than January 15.
