Personal Visit
All prospective students interested in the HESA doctoral program are encouraged to submit their application materials and make a campus visit during the Doctoral Recruitment Program held in February. The Doctoral Recruitment Program provides the best opportunity to meet the HESA faculty, current doctoral students, other applicants, and potential assistantship providers. While we encourage visiting during the Doctoral Recruitment Program, prospective applicants are welcome to schedule a visit at any time.
To arrange a personal visit, please contact hesa@indiana.edu and provide several dates you desire to visit the program. Our program graduate assistant will contact you and assist in finalizing your visit itinerary. Please give three to four weeks advance notice of your possible visit dates. For all personal visits we will do our best to arrange meetings with as many faculty members as possible. Due to the variance in faculty schedules, scheduling multiple meetings may not be possible. If applicants are interested in any specific administrative areas of the University to serve as a possible graduate assistantship site, we will do our best to arrange those meetings as well. Arrangements for a campus tour can be made through the Indiana University Office of Admissions.
