Special Programs

If you are affiliated with a student teaching project or program that arranges its own placements or portions of the placement, it is vital that you indicate the special program/project you are enrolled when you're completing your online application. The special programs/projects that completely or partially help in placement are:

• Community of Teachers
• Cultural Immersion Projects - Overseas/Navajo Reservations
  * special meetings address program requirements and preparation
• Elementary Certification Program (ECGP)
• Library Media Services - School of Library and Information Science
• Music Education - School of Music
• Physical Education - School of HPER
• Project TEAM
• Quest
  * Science Education endorsement for middle schools
  * Q405 for one credit hour -- must student teach
  * Q405 for three credit hours -- no student teaching
• Secondary Science education majors
  * placements must be in the Bloomington area
  * field experience (M403); science methods (M446); and student teaching (M480) are all done during the same semester. The student teaching component is scheduled during the last 10 weeks.
• Speech and Hearing Science -- graduate-level students

IT IS CRITICAL THAT OUR OFFICE KNOW YOUR STATUS IN ANY OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED PROGRAMS. Indicate your enrollment in one of these special programs by entering that information where it is requested in the online application. If you should leave or cancel your participation in one of the above programs, you must inform the Office of Student Teaching immediately.
